We are situated in Howick, which is an attractive residential suburb on Auckland’s eastern coastline. The school site is very large with extensive grassed areas available for play and sporting activities. Along with seventeen well-equipped and attractive classrooms the school has a swimming pool, hall, library and ICT Centre.
Howick Primary School provides education for students from New Entrants to Year Six. We also have a Montessori Unit as part of the school, which provides education for children from six years old to Year Six.
Children at the school are involved in learning Mathematics, English, Science, Social Studies, Technology, Music, Health and Physical Education with specialist teachers supporting the students in Music, ICT and Physical Education. We have a teacher who is responsible for taking groups of students who have a non-English speaking background to improve their English language skills.
Students at our school take increasing responsibility for their own learning and behaviour. We aim to educate students to self-assess and to develop independent work skills.

BBPS is situated in the Eastern Suburbs of Auckland on a peninsula. The school site is large. It has a swimming pool, a hall, hard court areas and a large grassed playing field.
Bucklands Beach Primary School provides education for students from New Entrants to Year 6. The roll is 75% European, 23% Asian and 2% Other. There are currently 11 classes, 290 students.
We belong to a supportive and active school community. The Board of Trustees is committed to providing the best education possible. The Parent Teacher Association works hard to raise funds for school resources.
Special programmes are offered to the students in addition to their regular studies. Art, Music, Information Technology and classes for students for whom English is a second language, are a sample of what is available.
